BSI-standard labeling

The German federal office for security in information technology (Bundesamt für Sicherheit in der Informationstechnik – BSI) has created clear standard for labeling and documentation of IT cabling. WTG provides a two-step solution to ensure that you conform to them.

To allow you to maintain, troubleshoot, repair and test your cabling properly, it is absolutely essential to label all relevant components. Yet that labeling should not allow anyone to come to any direct conclusions on the significance of any cable or system. To ensure that this is the case, you need to have clear documentation, preferably drawn up right back at the planning stage of your cabling work – and kept carefully up-to-date from then on.
