Data Privacy Declaration

Thank you for your interest in the website of the WTG group of companies, as represented by WTG holding GmbH. We consider our duty to protect your personal data an extremely serious matter and we comply with the legally binding regulations set out in the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as well as other data protection regulations, e.g. German data privacy laws. We process your personal data only to the extent permitted by law or on condition that you have given your consent to its processing.

Object of the data protection requirement

The GDPR lays down rules relating to the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and rules relating to the free movement of personal data. The GDPR protects fundamental rights and freedoms of natural persons and in particular their right to the protection of personal data. For the purposes of GDPR ‘personal data’ means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person; an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data or an online identifier.

Extent of data collection and storage

In principle, it is not necessary for you to disclose your personal data in order to use our website. Insofar as personal data (e.g., names, addresses or e-mail addresses) are recorded on our pages, this is always done as far as possible on a voluntary basis. No such data will be passed on to any third party without your express permission. We would like to draw your attention to the fact that there may be security gaps left open while data is being transmitted on the Internet (during e-mail communication, for example). It is not possible to provide entirely gap-free protection of such data against third-party access.

Collection and storage of data in internet usage

To optimize our website, we collect and store such data as the date and time of each page view, the page from which you accessed our site and similar. This collection and storage is done in anonymized form, without personally identifying the site user. Where necessary, user profiles are created using a pseudonym. There is no connection in this process either between the natural person behind the pseudonym and the data on their usage of the internet. We also use cookies to record and save data on internet usage. These are small text files stored on your computer, used to store statistical information such as your computer’s operating system, the program you use to explore the internet (your browser), your IP address, the website you visited before visiting us (the referrer URL) and the time. We collect this data exclusively for statistical purposes to put us in a position to further optimize our website and to make our Internet offerings even more attractive. The data is collected and stored exclusively in anonymized or pseudonymized form in such a way that it does not permit any conclusions to be drawn about you as a natural person.

Additional functions of the website

Our website offers you a variety of functions for which we need to collect, process and store personal data. We explain what happens to such data in the paragraphs to follow.

Kontaktformulare

We use the data collected via our online contact forms to process the queries that we receive through those contact forms. The data passed to us through those forms are recorded and saved in electronic form. The WTG group of companies reserves the right to use these data in order to send e-mails containing information on thematic information and offers as desired. You can at any time revoke the consent that you implicitly grant to us by sending us the necessary data. Simply send a message revoking your consent by e-mail to info@wtg.com or post, or use the unsubscribe link you will find on every WTG info e-mail.

Application forms and application information

For the purpose of processing your application, we collect, process and use the personal data you enter on this website or send to us by e-mail or conventional mail. Your application data will be forwarded by e-mail directly to our centralized human resources department and made available only to the WTG group. No transfer of data to third parties is planned and no such transfer will be carried out. Such data will be processed only for purposes of the performance of a contract or for the conduct of pre-contractual processes. Naturally, your data will be treated as confidential within the applicable legal regulations. We will use the appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure that it is so treated. Such data will be deleted no later than 6 months after the completion of the application process unless the applicant has expressly agreed that it be retained for a longer period. By the act of sending your application, you give your consent for the data you provide to be made available to the WTG group of companies. You can revoke this consent at any time with effect for the future and may instruct for your data to be deleted. No automatic decision-making mechanism, including any profiling process, is used for the purpose of recruitment.

Newsletter registration

If you would like to receive our newsletter, we need an e-mail address and additional information that will allow us to verify that you are the owner of the e-mail address provided and agree to receive the newsletter. We use the so-called double opt-in procedure to ensure that newsletters are sent in a consistent manner. This way the potential recipient can be included in a distribution list. After the registration, the user receives a confirmation e-mail to confirm. The address is only actively included in the distribution list if the registration is confirmed. We use this data exclusively for sending the requested information and offers. When giving the permission to store your personal data and e-mail address and to send you marketing e-mails, you can revoke this consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in the e-mail.

Use of cookies

“Cookies” are small files in which we can save specific information relating to you the user on your PC while you are visiting our website. Cookies help us to identify how often and by how many users the pages of our website are visited, and to design our offerings so that they are as convenient and efficient as possible for you. One of the cookies we use is a type called a "session cookie," which is stored only temporarily for the duration of your visit to our website. Another type we use is called a “permanent cookie”, which is used to store information on a user that accesses our website more than once. The purpose of such cookies is to help offer you the best possible user orientation as well as to be able to "recognize" you and to present you with the best possible website experience and to provide you with new content wherever possible each time you revisit the site. The content of any permanent cookie we use is restricted to an identification number. Your name, IP address, etc. are not saved. Nor do we create any individual profile recording your usage patterns.

Dealing with cookies

The user can also use our site without cookies. Most browsers allow you to either disable cookies entirely or to restrict their usage to particular websites. If you select the “Block third-party cookies” function in your browser settings, the browser will not send any cookies to the server for embedded content from other providers. You can also delete cookies at any time from your hard disk (file: “cookies”). If you do so, however, you should expect to see limitations in how the website is displayed and in user orientation.

Web analysis

In order to be in a position to continually optimize our offerings, we use what is often referred to as “tracking technologies”. The tools that we use for web analysis include the Google Analytics web analytics service together with Google Optimize and Matomo as well as Pardot and Leadinfo software. If you do not consent to the storage and use of your web usage data by the technical service provider as described above, you can at any time disable web analysis in the above-described manner and declare your objection to your data being collected and used in this manner by web analytics tools.

Google Analytics and Google Optimize

Our website uses Google Analytics and Google Optimize, web analysis and optimization services of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Google Analytics uses so-called cookies, text files that are stored on your computer and that enable an analysis of your use of the website. The analysis data is also used to optimize our website using Google Optimize. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. If IP anonymization is activated on this website, your IP address will be shortened beforehand by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. The full IP address is only transferred to a Google server in the USA and abbreviated there in exceptional cases. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. You can prevent the storage of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin to be found at the following URL: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en. More information about the terms of service and the privacy policy can be found under http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/us.html and under https://www.google.de/intl/en/policies/.

Matomo

This website uses the Matomo service provided by InnoCraft Ltd. (150 Willis St, 6011 Wellington, New Zealand, NZBN 6106769). With the help of Matomo, we are able to collect and analyze data about the use of our website by visitors. This allows us to determine, among other things, when page views were made and from which region they originate. Additionally, we collect various log files (e.g., IP address, referrer, used browsers, and operating systems) and can measure whether our website visitors perform certain actions (e.g., clicks, purchases, etc.). The use of this analysis tool is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior to optimize both their web offering and advertising. If the corresponding consent has been obtained, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG, to the extent that the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information on the user's device (e.g., device fingerprinting) within the meaning of TTDSG. The consent can be revoked at any time.
IP anonymization: In the analysis with Matomo, we use IP anonymization. This means that your IP address is shortened before analysis, so that it can no longer be clearly assigned to you.
Cookieless analysis: We have configured Matomo in such a way that Matomo does not store cookies in your browser.
Here you can find further information on data usage by the Matomo Cloud: https://matomo.org/matomo-cloud-privacy-policy/

Pardot Marketing Automation System

We use the Pardot Marketing Automation System (“Pardot MAS”) from Pardot LLC, 950 E. Paces Ferry Rd. Suite 3300 Atlanta, GA 30326, USA (“Pardot”). Pardot is a specialist software for gathering and evaluating information about how a website is used by its visitors. Pardot participates in the Safe Harbor Program of the US Department of Commerce. Further information about how collecting personal data in the European Union is handled by Pardot can be found in the Safe Harbor Notice: https://www.pardot.com/legal. General information about the Safe Harbor Program can be found at https://www.export.gov/safeharbor_eu. When you visit our website, Pardot MAS records your click path through the site and creates an individual usage profile under a pseudonym. Cookies are used for this purpose in order for your browser to be recognised. By clicking “I agree” on the cookie acceptance banner when first using our website or by continuing to use our website that makes use of cookies, you agree to the use of cookies by Pardot. You may withdraw your acceptance at any time with effect for the future. Please use the contact information provided at the end of this data protection policy to do this. You can also deactivate the creation of usage profiles stored under pseudonyms at any time by configuring your web browser to not accept cookies from the domain pardot.com. This may, however, result in certain limitations to the functionality and user-friendliness of our offering.

Leadinfo

We use the lead generation service provided by Leadinfo B.V., Rotterdam, Netherlands. This service identifies visits from companies to our website based on IP addresses and provides us with publicly available information such as company names or addresses. In addition, Leadinfo uses two first-party cookies to analyze user behavior on our website and processes domains from form submissions (e.g., "leadinfo.com") to correlate IP addresses with companies and improve services. Further information can be found at www.leadinfo.com. On this page: www.leadinfo.com/en/opt-out, you have the option to opt out. In the case of opting out, your data will no longer be collected by Leadinfo.

Google Ads, Google Dynamic Remarketing and Google AdSense

Our website uses the online advertising services of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Through Google Dynamic Remarketing, users who have already visited our website and online services and are interested in the offer are addressed again through targeted advertising on the pages of the Google Partner Network. The advertising is displayed by using cookies, which analyze user behavior when visiting the website and then use it for targeted product recommendations and interest-based advertising. Google Ads Conversion Tracking uses cookies that enable to analyze the use of the website when you click on a Google ad. The Google Ads cookies are valid for a maximum of 90 days. Personal data is not saved. As long as the cookie is valid, Google and WTG as the website operator can recognize that you have clicked on an ad and have reached a certain target page (e.g. order confirmation page, newsletter registration). These cookies cannot be tracked across multiple websites by different Google Ads participants. The cookie creates conversion statistics in Google Ads. These statistics record the number of users who clicked on one of our ads. It also counts how many users have reached a landing page that has been provided with a conversion tag (remarketing tag, see above). However, the statistics do not contain any data that can be used to identify you. Google AdSense uses so-called web beacons (invisible graphics) in addition to cookies. Web beacons can be used to evaluate information such as visitor traffic on the WTG website. The information generated by remarketing tags, cookies and web beacons about the use of this website (including the IP address of the users) and the delivery of advertising are transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. This information can be passed on to contractual partners by Google. There are a number of ways you can prevent Google Online Advertising Services from installing cookies: 1.) by an appropriate setting of the browser software; however, we would like to point out that if you do this, you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website; 2.) by deactivating the interest-based ads on Google; 3.) by deactivating the interest-based ads of the providers that are part of the self-regulation campaign ‘About Ads’; 4.) by permanent deactivation by a browser plug-in. The settings under 2.) and 3.) are deleted if cookies are deleted in the browser settings. For data protection information of the provider please see the following link: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en, for opposition option (Opt-out) please visit https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated?hl=en.
